Irish Dance Re-union in Gallowgate

A big crowd of Irish dancers and ex-dancers is expected to welcome BRIAN AND SEAMUS O’SULLIVAN, accordion and keyboard maestros when they play the last ceili of the season at the Irish club in Gallowgate, Newcastle on SUNDAY 5th AUGUST 2018. It starts at 7.30 and admission is £3.00.

The Glasgow duo have played for Irish Dance championships in Ireland, the USA, Australia and even Eastern Europe- Seamus has a Polish side to his family and plenty of tunes to prove it. They are regular star attractions on the Box and Fiddle circuit north of the border. As well as acknowledged accordion wizards they are both gifted keyboard players and indeed Seamus was a winner of the all-Ireland piano trophy.

Brian has had a varied career in the entertainment business to put it mildly. He started “at the top” playing the title role in Oliver at the London Palladium at the age of nine. Since graduating from the Royal Scottish Conservatoire he has taken many challenging parts on stage and screen. However, he is delighted to be back with his dad on a welcome return to the toon.

Tony Corcoran, secretary of Irish Centre, says: We are looking forward to a great night of Irish Ceili dancing, songs, surprises and a few drams of Scotch in the mix. By the way our expert caller will be there to guide you through the movements and the steps.
